Hi, guys! I've started a forum for authors and fans alike to discuss my works and their own. Want some publicity? Join a forum! I'd love to have you stop by and join, hear your thoughts and suggestions! Bree is doing well and Bree's sequel Kael is well underway and is being submitted to the publisher within the next few days. Soon Kael will join Bree on the book shelf! Stop bye and say hi! Here's a sneak peak into what you'll find...

“Aryn and Asa nibbled on some breakfast of crackers and cheese as they stretched their tired limbs. Fog rolled
along the moist soil. Sleep had come and gone sporadically over the last three days and it was wearing on them. Not to mention there was still no sign of Bree. He watched Asa as she readied herself to move once again, to search for their daughter. A tear slipped down his wrinkled cheek. Maybe today he would tell her about Bree.
Aryn tried working up the nerve to tell his wife the truth. He wondered how important it really was and what kind of rift it might create between the two of them. Then he saw something from the corner of his eye. What was that? He thought. For a moment he thought he saw something slip behind a tree. Maybe a deer. He hoped Asa had not saw anything. She spooked so easily and that’s all she needed was more fuel to add to her fire. Asa stopped walking. She cocked her head to one side like a bird, listening.
Again something behind that tree!

“Did you hear that?”

“What?” He looked around anxiously.

“Singing. Do you hear it? It sounds just like…” Asa veered off of the main road and moved into thicker, darker wood, picking up pace.

“Asa wait.” Aryn dropped his gear and jogged after her.

“It’s Bree. I hear her, doesn’t she sound lovely?”

It couldn’t be…it didn’t make sense, she wouldn’t be wondering around in the woods just singing. Aryn ran after her. Asa was moving swiftly through the trees now, following the melody that only she seemed to hear. She smiled, entranced, unable to stop. Aryn paused. He did hear it. The song was ringing through the forest on all sides, ringing now in his own ears. He was slowly becoming lethargic. He clapped his hands over his ears and began to hum loudly. Something was seriously wrong. He plugged his ears with his fingertips and ran after her. For a split second he almost thought he caught a glimpse of a woman slipping in and out of the trees. No. But yes, her waist length, mahogany hair bounced about her tiny waist, her jade green dress barely covering her golden skin.

“That’s not Bree!” He shouted to his wife. Couldn’t she
see?
Asa didn’t hear him. The only voice reverberating in her ears was that of her sweet Bree. The vixen stopped and turned. Her eyes were burning like jade fire.

“Oh, no!” Aryn gasped.

The woman continued to sing.

“Asa! Stop! She’s a Nymph, a Siren!” His father had told him tales of the Siren’s with their burning jade eyes. He ran as quickly as his legs would carry him but felt he was wading through mud.
The Siren extended her arms toward Asa, calling to her. Asa smiled dreamily.

“Asa!” Aryn stumbled forward and caught himself. He was almost there, just a little farther. Asa reached the vixen seeing her Bree before her eyes. The Siren touched her fingertips. Aryn lunged, falling short of his wife by mere feet. A rustling sound came from his left. He looked up just in time to see a massively, muscle bound, black skinned creature jump from the bushes and onto Asa’s back
driving a dagger through her chest. Blood drained from her sweet face and soaked her floral print blouse.

“NO!” Aryn’s voice echoed in his ears. He dropped to his knees in horror. Two men grabbed him from behind, bound him and covered his head in a black, sackcloth.
~~~~~~~~~
Bree screamed. She fell from her horse shaking uncontrollably. She vomited and curled into a fetal position, wailing.
Eryx jumped from his horse and ran to her side. Bree was drenched in sweat. She could feel the dagger plunge into her own flesh as she watched her mother’s murder.
“She’s dead.” She sobbed.
